Buzz is an open-source app that transcribes and translates audio on your own computer, using OpenAI's Whisper model. You open the file and export the text as TXT, or as SRT and VTT if you want subtitles. Use it to turn a meeting, an interview or a video into text without sending it to an outside service. On a Mac it needs Apple silicon.
