Data Formulator is an open-source Microsoft Research project for exploring data with AI-built charts. You upload a CSV, an Excel file or even a screenshot, and ask in your own words for what you want to see. Use it to understand sales by month or by product without building the chart by hand. You install it on your computer or try the online demo, and it needs a connection to an AI model such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
